The Arlington Planning Commission has reviewed and recommended the city’s 2020 Comprehensive Plan Docket to the city council. The proposed amendments include changes to their residential zoning districts and add new districts. The city stated that the proposed changes are necessary to correctly identify the housing capacities of current residential zones within the city and to provide the correct tools to enable “feathering” of residential capacities throughout the city by creating additional residential zones.

The city council will next review the docket at a workshop. MBAKS will keep working to ensure proper tools are in place to achieve more housing variety, affordability, and density and will keep you updated as it progresses. View the proposed docket amendment and zoning map.
