Snohomish County Planning Commission to Hear ADU Code Changes

On Tuesday, July 28, the Snohomish County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the County’s accessory dwelling unit (ADU) code. New provisions under consideration include:

  • Change to a permitted use in all single family zones
  • Eliminate substandard lot provisions
  • Allow shared parking in urban areas
  • Allow one attached and one detached unit per lot
  • Set maximum square footage of 1,000 square feet in urban areas, 1,200 square feet in rural areas
