On May 6, the Washington State Department of Ecology released draft final guidance on determining Net Ecological Benefit (NEB) for streamflow restoration projects. The draft final guidance is posted on Ecology’s Streamflow Restoration website and all comments must be submitted through the online comment form by the June 7 deadline.

Final guidance is expected to be released in July. Your association is actively participating on three separate Water Restoration and Enhancement Committees over the next two years in WRIAs 7, 8, and 9 to help determine the location of permit-exempt wells and develop a list of projects to offset use in those watersheds.
