44th District, Washington State House of Representatives
Rep. April Berg is the first Black woman to represent the 44th District of Washington. A 20-year Snohomish County resident, she served on the Edmonds and Everett school boards, believing that all students deserve quality schools. She also served as a planning commissioner for the City of Mill Creek. She is drawn to service—in her time as a student, in her city, and now in the House of Representatives—because everyone deserves a voice in the direction of Washington state: young people, seniors, small business owners, veterans, blue collar machinists, and professionals.
