With the passage of Senate Bill 5290—aimed to reduce permit review timelines and enable swifter, more predictable construction—MBAKS’ signature Housing Solutions Breakfast will identify strategies jurisdictions can implement now to facilitate much-needed housing. Keynote speaker and prime sponsor of 5290, Washington State Senator Mark Mullet, will kick things off, followed by a conversation with local mayors. Panelists will include Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus, Mill Creek Mayor Brian Holtzclaw, and North Bend Mayor Rob McFarland, moderated by Snohomish County Executive Director Ken Klein.
