Snohomish County Planning and Development Services has hired two new engineers who will be tasked with traffic review for permit applications, among other duties. The hires will help with the well-recognized choke point in the County’s permit process. While other parts of the process continue to improve, traffic review has suffered—with staff down to literally zero at one point. MBAKS will keep pressing Snohomish County leadership for additional improvements until timelines reach an acceptable level.
